These Terms and Conditions ("T&C") govern your use of the RepeatBeats website ("Site") and services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Site, you agree to comply with and be bound by these T&C. If you do not agree to these T&C, please do not use our Site or Services.

Definitions

Service: The functionalities provided by RepeatBeats.
Content: Any information, videos, playlists, or other material uploaded or linked by users.
User: Anyone who accesses or registers to use RepeatBeats.
We/Our/Us: Refers to RepeatBeats and its operators.
You/Your: Refers to the user of the Service.

1. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These T&C are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these T&C will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

2. Age Requirement

While RepeatBeats does not contain explicitly inappropriate content, users must adhere to any applicable laws in their jurisdiction regarding age restrictions. Users under the age of 13 must have parental consent to register for an account and must provide a parent's email address for verification.

3. Account Registration

To use our Services, you must register for an account by providing a username, email address, and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Account Permissions

Users with an unverified email address can create up to 10 videos and 1 playlist. Verifying your email increases this limit to 100 videos and 10 playlists. You can further upgrade to unlimited storage by paying a one-time fee. Note that users that abuse this "unlimited storage" with malicious intent including, but not limited to:

- Overwhelming the server with requests
- Deliberately incurring extra costs
- Storing prohibited content (e.g., illegal, offensive, or copyrighted material without permission)
- Engaging in activities that violate our terms of service
- Utilizing the storage for hosting large amounts of unnecessary or redundant data
- Attempting to exploit system vulnerabilities
- Engaging in activities that degrade system performance or affect other users

may face account suspension or termination of service. Our system monitors for such abuses, and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure the integrity and availability of our services. Such users will not receive a refund if having made a payment. Decisions regarding abuse and suspensions are left to our discretion.

5. User Conduct

Users are expected to use RepeatBeats responsibly. Any abuse of the "share video" feature, such as using it to harass other users, or abuse of any other feature provided by the Service, may result in restricted access. RepeatBeats reserves the right to take appropriate action, including restricting or terminating your account.

6. Content Ownership

RepeatBeats claims no ownership over the content you create, including YouTube videos, modifications to videos, or playlists. By using our Service, you grant RepeatBeats a license to use your content for the purpose of providing the service. Users retain full ownership of their content but must respect the copyrights of third-party content, such as YouTube videos. RepeatBeats is not liable for any copyright infringements by users.

7. Modification of Services

RepeatBeats reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice. Where feasible, we will provide reasonable notice before making significant changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RepeatBeats will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Site and Services.

9. Intellectual Property

RepeatBeats owns all rights to the software and branding used on the Site. You may not use any of our trademarks, service marks, or copyrighted materials without our prior written consent. The content typically generated by users, such as YouTube videos and their modifications, are usually the property of third parties unless otherwise stated. Users must respect these rights.

10. Third-Party Services

RepeatBeats uses third-party services, such as (but not limited to) the Genius API (for lyrics), the YouTube IFrame API (for video playback), Stripe (for payment processing), Mailtrap (for sending account emails). These third parties may collect data as per their own privacy policies. RepeatBeats does not sell or store your personal data but uses cookies for necessary functions such as authentication. Please review the privacy policies of these third-party services for more information.

11. Payment and Refund Policy

To upgrade your storage to unlimited videos and playlists, a one-time fee of £4.99 is required. This fee is non-refundable. All payment transactions are processed securely through Stripe. RepeatBeats does not store credit card information. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's privacy policy and terms of service, which you can view here: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy.

12. Local Storage

Non-personal data such as videos and playlists are cached and stored in your local storage and can be cleared at any time by clicking the "sync data" button.

13. Personal Data

Personal data is not shared with third parties except for necessary purposes (e.g., Stripe for payments, Mailtrap for sending account-related emails). You may delete your account at any time via the account page, which will remove all personal data, as well as all data created by you that is stored by us, including but not limited to: videos, playlists, and shares with other users. However, some data may still be stored by third parties for legal or administrative reasons.

14. Termination of Service

RepeatBeats reserves the right to terminate your account and access to the Service at our discretion, including but not limited to abuse of the service, violation of these T&C, or as required by law.

15. Changes to T&C

We may update these T&C from time to time. Users will be notified of any changes via email, where possible, or through a notification on the website. By continuing to use the Site after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised T&C.
